Arry Pot-terre
Saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part one today… In French… I understood everything, and I absolutely adored it.
Also um, I guess the movie was just a bit too long for the average French person so we had an intermission… Like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang style. I thought intermissions during films stopped a long time ago. I mean, really, it was Harry Potter!! As if the ending...
After Christmas Shopping
In France… Must I say more? No, but I will. I will be doing my after Christmas shopping in Limoges, Angoulême, and if my host parents allow it, Paris. Bring on the sales, and bring on the fashion, I am a happy and lucky lady.
La veille
So it is Christmas Eve and I am in France. Without my real family, but still with family nonetheless. I woke up late, watched Gremlins 2, ate good food, and fought over politics and christmas music. Tomorrow I will experience Christmas in France, apparently we eat Lunch at 1 and it ends around 7 so I will probably gain a good 10 pounds.
Until then, Happy Holidays my dear ones.

Rain, Rain, more rain, sunny for christmas, snows the day after… Looks like I will have an unwhite Christmas.
Oh well, lots of food, music, people, plus I get to look forward to the New Years with tons of friends up in Châtellerault.

Just the normal weekend in my daily life. Started off winter vacation off in the country. Donkies, geese, chickens, goats, water rats, home made cheese, falafel… What more could a girl want?
P.S. Does anyone else know you can make clothing out of possum fur? Yeah it is a New Zealand thing.

Party In Poitiers
So tomorrow is the start of WINTER VACATION IN FRANCE! What is there not to love about that sentence? So how am I starting it off? Catching a train to Poitiers of course. My wonderful friend from New Zealand is turning 18 and so she is having a costume party on her farm. Only in France, right.? Then after that I am chilling with her until Monday and having a little break from speaking...

So my goal is to finish Paris est une Fête (original version is A Moveable Feast) before I leave. One might ask how will you read Hemingway in French, and all I say in return is this: a dictionary and 3 months of French knowledge.
Going Shopping Tomorrow
First, because I am in France and I can.
Second, because I need to buy chocolate for my American family.
Third, because I need to walk off the calories from the nine kinder country chocolate bars I ate today… I know… nine. How I managed I do not know, but kinder country gets me everytime.
Fourth, because I want to take pictures and think, and just glow under the christmas...

Italian fever
One last story of how much I love the world we live in. The other night I stayed up until 2 in the morning gossiping with two of my favorite Italians girls, in french… We were talking like we would in our own native language. We spoke of life, boys, rules, school, everything. We understood eachother perfectly. Laughed so hard we cried. It was all in another language, and it was all magical....
Tonight...Or should I say this morning?
So it is 1:30 in the morning, and I just had a midnight drive with my host parents from Poiteirs to Angoulême and we listened to intense reggae music the whole time.
I do not think I have ever felt so loved or happy in my life, than I do right now. I just spent 24 hours with people from all over the world, and I love them like family. I cannot believe the bonds I have made with these wonderful...

So I went to the tumblr directory and chose personalities… I swear every single blog was a teenage girl who only posted pictures of hipster boys, and quotes over landscapes.
Why do I have a feeling tumblr is turning into myspace? Please oh please let this end now.

1. You can go to the doctor by yourself and not have any communication problems.
2. Tell your teachers that; no Americans do not all drink coca cola, have 2 fords in the garage, and a mom who stays in the kitchen 24/7 (we only wish all of that)
